Law Enforcement has become my second career. I have over 25 years experience in Christian Music, marketing and retailing.
In October, 1994, I joined the Auxiliary Deputy program at the Sheriff's Department. I soon realized that there was only one true calling in life for me - Law Enforcement! Not on the road, but on the inside as a Marketing Director (or evangelist) for the Department.
In November 1999 I started as a part-time Bailiff.
In July, 2000, I accepted a position as Correctional Officer. I have worked "the floor", Booking, and most recently, Booking Support, where I was responsible for maintaining the technology assets for the jail, prisoner transport, court services, and other odd jobs.
In October 2006, I was promoted to Administrative Assistant to Sheriff Justus. Now I have the chance to fulfill my dream.
In December 2006, I earned a degree in Corporate Communications, summa cum laude through Lindenwood University, in St. Charles, Missouri.2008 I earned a Masters in Criminal Justice Administration, also from Lindenwood.
I remain active with the Auxiliary Association as program Director.

I'm also the Advisor to Explorer Post 555.
Certifications:
ASP Baton instructor.
Radio trainer for St. Clair County's ETSB.
ILSTB Certified Firearms Instructor.
