Captain Steven Johns presents DSA Matt Green with the 2010 Civilian of the Year Award.
Deputy Service Aide Matt Green
Civilian of the Year
Nominated by Sgt. Michael Hundelt
In 2010 Matt Green came to investigation as the Investigation DSA. The training he received was very short but the transition went very smooth. He quickly grasped the work that was expected of him and proved very dependable and reliable. As time went on, he was given more tasks to look after and accepted every one of them with enthusiasm. Matt was eager to work and always willing to lend a hand.
In September 2010 I was assigned to Investigations as the supervisor. I relied heavily on Matt to get me up to speed on what was happening. During this time, I placed even more job duties on him and asked more of him. Again, Matt was more than happy to help.
Matt has numerous duties and they seem to increase every day. Each time I would ask him to handle something for me, he would reply yes and I knew I could count on him to take care of it. They say the true test of an employee’s worth is how the department runs when they are absent. I can say when Matt is off; it usually takes a couple people to fill in his responsibilities. He is a valuable member of the Investigations Division.
It is my honor to nominate DSA Matt Green for Civilian of the Year.
