Belleville, IL (KSDK) - The St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged a 20-year-old Metro East man following a drug raid at his residence in unincorporated Belleville.
According to Captain Steve Johnson, a spokesman for the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, neighbors along Kingway Drive reported constant drug dealing at a residence. The St. Clair County Drug Tactical Unit conducted undercover drug buys at the house over the next several weeks.
Police searched the home Wednesday afternoon and discovered Marcus Parker in possession of 1000 grams of cannabis, approximately $4000 cash, and a loaded semi-automatic pistol.
Marcus Parker was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of cannabis. Parker remains in custody at the St. Clair County Jail on $100,000 bond.
