After years of neglect the old Explorer golf cart has been reborn! Aux. Lt. Craig Voyles, Aux. M/Sgt Larry Casey and Aux. Capt. Jon Knyff have spent the last few months working on this project. Sporting a fresh coat of white paint (donated anonymously), with lettering and Striping by Gain Signs, of Freeburg, the cart made it’s debut at the Shriner’s Parade in Belleville. The engine and electrical system have been completely rebuilt. LED light bars added front and rear. A air horn and siren round out the upgrades. There’s still more work to be done over the next few months. But already Squad Cart 74 has proven to be a hit with the public. Watch for it parades and picnics through out the county this summer.
